About SWR-090

SWR-090 is a 9,5m multi-purpose, heavy-duty, high-speed planning boat for operation in costal sea areas, in open sea as a daughtercraft and in lakes and rivers in almost any climate zone.

Depending on the equipment installed, the boat can be customized as Search and Rescue, Patrol, Workboat/Divers support or a Fast Rescue Craft. It is designed for commercial use from scratch with all its structures, systems and equipment to stand thousands of hours of heavy-duty, cost-effective operation. The hull and console are constructed of marine grade aluminum alloys, which is a planning/deep V hull with an excellent wave-piercing capabilities, while its prismatic shape provides an additional stability for the work purposes and moving the cargo around the deck.

The boat can be optionally equipped for self-righting, what means that in case of a capsize, it returns to the upright position.

Structures and systems of the boat are designed to meet ISO Small Craft certification (CE B Category).

These are the features, which will assist in executing any task on the sea professionally:

  • heavy-duty aluminum structures and foam rigid fenders;
  • water-jet propulsion, twin inboards;
  • as max. as possible effective deck for equipment, seating, cargo etc.;
  • deck tie down points for safe cargo and equipment fixing , hooks for diving air hoses, table for control equipment;
  • A-frame crane for ROV and other equipment;
  • semi-electrically operated launch and rescue aft platform or open transom;
  • 4x lifting points (for launching the boat with slings);
  • detachable quick release hook system with remote control handle H.Henriksen (1 or 2 points);
  • pressurized outboard water supply on the deck for divers and equipment washing;
  • dry-break coupling fuel filling system with adapters (no leakage, quick refueling with high flow speed);
  • special systems for self-righting and self-righting bags.

The boat is powered by single or twin inboard diesel engines (we offer Volvo Penta or Mercury Diesel, but can be any other suitable brand) of a 320 to 640 hp total power (prepared for up to 800 hr/yr commercial rating). To achieve close to ideal longitudinal center of gravity and preserve as much effective deck space as possible, the engines are positioned close to the midships, rather than stern.

There can be 3 types of propulsion installed: Waterjets (for high speeds, excellent maneuverability and high commercial rating), Surface Drives (for speeds up to 60 knots) or Sterndrives (for most economical solution), connected to the engines via cardan shafts.

There is a special foam filled non-marking commercial fender installed on the boat, which allows continuous contact berthing to a pierce/boat or a yacht.

The deck is designed without any steps, has a non-slip surface and allows free movement all around. There are several deck tie-down points for a cargo fixation, hydraulic A-frame crane and two single-type bollards, which allow transporting, towing, boom installation and ROV launch procedures.

Specially designed semi-electrically operated unfolding aft platform or an optional open transom make the divers launch quick, reliable and easy. Both of them, as well as the safety cradle, fixed on the side of the boat can be used for quick and reliable MOB safety operations.

There is an outboard water outlet for a fire-fighting, cleaning or any other relevant work purposes.

For the safe SAR operations in rough sea conditions there is a special safety rail installed all over the sides of a boat.

The cockpit area has 4 saddle type jockey seats with suspensions.

There are several storage places on board of a different size and volume.

There are two external fuel tanks of aluminum installed on the boat of a total capacity of 500 liters. Each fuel tank has three sensors with a separate indication: full, empty, level. The fuel can be transferred between the tanks in both directions with a separate onboard fuel pump. For a quick refueling without leakage dry-break coupling fuel filling system can be installed.

The bilge system consists of the five high-capacity bilge pumps. In case any of the bilge pumps fails, crew can activate the fire-fighting/reserve pump with the separate pipes system to work as a bilge pump.

The boat has the shore power connection, 3 batteries onboard, and a 4 kW genset. There are 2 watertight outlets (12v and 220v) on the deck for different tasks.

The boat can be launched in two ways:

  • with one (two) -points quick release hook H.HENRIKSEN system for fast launch and rescue operations;
  • or with lift points with slings (via four separate lifting eyes on the deck).

The optional hydraulic A-frame load crane can be installed in the aft area for loading/unloading of the cargo, ROV or any other equipment. There are 6 tie-down points on the aft deck for the safe cargo/ROV/FRC boat fixing.

The boat can be equipped with this safety equipment:

  • 12x lifejackets;
  • lifebuoys;
  • 12x thermal protection suites;
  • 2x adjustable paddles-hooks.

For safe operation at night the radar arch of the boat has two (bow and stern) LED-lights and two manual searchlights. There is electrical horn with loudspeaker and siren installed.

The boat can be equipped with FLIR/RAYMARINE and COBHAM SAILOR navigation system with:

  • multifunctional 12" screen;
  • radar closed type antenna;
  • rotational thermal camera;
  • depth sensor;
  • compass;
  • VHF radio receiver;
  • AIS;
  • radar reflector.

The boat is equipped with a number of panels and monitors united in one general operating System, which allows the pilot to monitor and control different equipment. The multifunctional 12" and 7" monitors are incorporated in the System as well. They manage the navigation, indicate the running parameters of the engines, show the tanks levels, temperatures, depth, fuel quality, propulsion system errors and other vital parameters.
